I don’t often talk about my own personal “origin” story — the reason why I came to do what I do now.
And what I do right now brings me true joy, excitement and deep contentment. I never would have thought I would find deep contentment spending all day thinking about bacteria!
Many pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding professionals have a strong sense of life purpose. Often from a very young age, they know exactly what they want to do, and why.
It’s almost a given.
If you are a doula, a midwife, a nurse, a doctor, a childbirth educator, a lactation consultant or other breastfeeding expert, a naturopath, a hypnobirth instructor or other health professional— you may feel a strong calling towards your chosen profession.
For some, it’s to help mothers and babies have the best possible start in life.
