4 new studies on the amazing health benefits of KEFIR (plus how to make it yourself!)
***
Kefir is a probiotic super-food.
- That is low-cost.
- Easily available (you can make it in your own kitchen.)
- And 4 new studies (published in 2021) show that it has amazing health properties.
Kefir consists of lactic acid bacteria and yeast.
Traditionally,
kefir is made by fermenting milk (usually from a cow, sheep or goat)
with kefir grains.

Here are 3 reasons why I really love kefir (especially milk kefir):
1. Kefir tastes great (like a slightly sour greek yoghurt).
2. Kefir is pretty easy to make. You can make it in your own kitchen.
According to a BBC Good Food recipe, you put ½ tsp kefir grains in a jar. Add some milk. And leave it to ferment for 18–24 hours at room temperature. Done.
3. Kefir is an evidence-based ‘probiotic food’!
Kefir is one of the most ancient fermented ‘probiotic foods’ — these are foods that contain microorganisms that when consumed are beneficial for human health.
